Oil Tank Lock

Has been designed by an Approved Company Member of the Master Locksmiths Association.
It ensures that your tank cap can only be removed by the key holder making it a great deal harder for thieves to gain access to your oil.

The body of the lock just slides over your existing oil tank cap and the locking bar becomes the padlock hasp when in position.

Installation Instructions:
1) Remove the filler pipe cap.
2) Screw on the iron lock nut provided all the way down to about 5mm above the flange nut on the tank.
3) Once the nut is in position, replace the filler cap and slide the yellow lock body over it so that U
shaped flanges of the box are located below the lock nut.
4) The lock nut is supplied with two pre-threaded and self-tapping locking screws. Having established
your final lock nut position screw the locking screws through the lock nut so that they bite into the filler
pipe.
5) You can now finally replace the filler cap and slide the lock box into position, insert the locking bar
and attach the padlock shackle through the hole provided at the end of it and lock the padlock.
6) Remember that the padlock is out in all weathers and will only be unlocked/locked once or twice per
year so it is advisable to spray the padlock shackle and keyway every 6 months with GT85 - do
